Andrea McLennan
Hello my name is Andrea McLennan (or Miss M at school!). I am the counsellor at Canyon Heights Elementary, where I am excited to be part of this school community. Working as a team is very important to me, as I feel it is the most successful way to support our students. I make it a priority to maintain open and regular communication with both the school team and home.
I also believe that fostering a sense of belonging and connection helps lead to student success at school. That includes connection with friends, with classroom peers, and with the adults who are supporting them while they are here.
When I am not at school, I am usually having fun with my family and my dog Luna, or hiking in the North Shore mountains with friends. I am so thankful to live and work in such a beautiful place, and would like to acknowledge and thank the Coast Salish people for the opportunity to call their unceded traditional territory my home.
